Trying out BonChon Chicken (Korean Fast-Food Chain)

When we visit the nearest SM mall in the city, we just found out that there's already newly-opened branch of BonChon Chicken. This restaurant was originally founded in South Korea and we finally got to taste their best-seller korean-style crispy fried chicken.

Beef Bulgogi Rice Meal

So we immediately headed to have our dinner at BonChon Chicken. I ordered Beef Bulgogi Rice meal that costs Php145 ($3.63) which comes with regular soda but we upgraded it for Ko-yo Cola Float priced at Php30 ($0.75) while my sis and mom just shared the 2-pcs Spicy Chicken Ricebox for Php145 ($3.63). My sister additionally ordered for another Kõ-Yõ Cola Float (Php55/$1.38) and extra white rice (Php15/$0.38).

They used korean vanilla yogurt instead of the usual ice cream for float. If you love yogurt, then this one is surely not to be missed.

Kõ-Yõ Cola Float
We were impressed with their fried chicken as this was my first time to have a korean-style fried chicken. It was really delicious, tasty and perfect. I'll pick it as the #2 in the list when it comes to local fast-food chain. (My #1 is Jollibee's Chickenjoy :P)

While we were savoring the sumptuous meals we had. We ordered again for another dish called Chapchae (Japchae). It is a korean stir-fried noodles with vegetables. It looks like a pansit bihon here in the Philippines but it tastes really different. I didn't expect that this dish used a sweet sauce. We really like it and you should try it just in case you haven't tried it yet. Now, I wanted to try the authentic Japchae dish! TT__TT

Overall, we enjoyed our first try with BonChon Chicken and we will come back next time.

How about you? Have you tried eating at BonChon? What's your favorite order? :)
